Igor González Ayala, a native of Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa, decided to showcase the value of his family's old vineyards by establishing the González Ayala winery in 2019.

His vision is to create wines that authentically reflect the origin, characteristics, and personality of the vineyards located in the towns of Lanciego and Laguardia.

These wines are crafted in an artisanal manner, aiming to evoke the essence of the vineyards from which they originate and preserve the distinct character of each one.

The philosophy of González Ayala winery revolves around conserving the natural and cultural heritage inherent in its vineyards. They aim to enhance varietal diversity and craft distinctive wines that showcase the value of their village vineyards.
