Amarenak Kaiku
The KAIKU is a traditional jacket made of wool, but made of nonwoven cloth. It is also usually seen at popular festivals. For a time, along with the txapela, it was the "Basque uniform" par excellence. The men used to wear it at their communion or at their wedding, and the boys and girls wore them to go to school.
Once again, this kaiku jacket has its origins in the traditional Basque world. It is inspired by the jacket that Basque fishermen and fishermen used to wear and this more street version also emerged during the 1920s.
